Yoshiki of ex-X Japan suddenly made an announcement that he made a
contract unofficially with Colombia Music Entertainment. He also
announced that he would start an activity as an artist. He plans to
make a debut as his solo project called VioletUK in England. He told
that this would be the last challenge in his life. Five years have
been passed since X Japan was broke up. He has concentrated on the
music industry as the business man in those days, like he made a new
label in the USA and produced lots of artists both in Japan and USA.
He finally starts his activity as an artist. He said, "Since X Japan's
break-up, I have been an amateur, but I will come back as a solo
artist".
Colombia Music Entertainment got the first right of negotiation with
Yoshiki and they are now under the final discussion. The main content
of the contract are:
1. making contract as an artist
2. making contract as an producer
3. business tie-up with ERI
4. making a debut in England or other countries as VUK.
Colombia made a contract with Dahlia first, then they started
negotiation with Yoshiki. The vocalist of VUK is already decided. She
is an American singer called Daughter. She has started recording for
VUK. Yoshiki will play VUK songs with her at the concert on December 3
& 4.
"The members of VUK are not fixed. I am planning VUK like an amoebae.
I think that style fits the present age". It seems to be the
revolution.
"I would like to change the music world like XJapan did. Honestly
speaking, I think it's my last challenge." The charisma of the
Japanese rock artist is very serious.
About the marriage of TK & KEIKO: Yoshiki said that he had informed
about their marriage by them one week before their announcement. He
thinks that their marriage is their fate. He plans to play piano for
them at the wedding.
